Candle does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All app data stays on your device. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking services of any kind.

We do not collect any information about you. Specifically:

- No account required. The App does not require sign-up, sign-in, or any account creation.

- No personal data collected. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.

- No analytics or tracking. The App does not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. We cannot see how you use the App.

- No data shared with third parties. Because we do not collect any data, there is nothing to sell, share, or transfer to third parties.

The App stores the following information locally on your device only, using Apple's on-device storage frameworks. This information is never transmitted to us or anyone else:

- Candle session history — timestamps of when you start and stop tracking a candle, stored locally so the App can display your timer and history.

- Onboarding/preference state — whether you've completed the App's onboarding flow, stored locally using `UserDefaults`.

This data remains on your device, is included only in your own device backups (e.g., iCloud or iTunes backups you control), and is deleted if you uninstall the App.

If you grant permission, the App uses Apple's local notification system to remind you about a candle you may have left burning. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — we do not operate a push notification server and do not receive any information when notifications are sent or received.

If you grant permission, the App uses Apple's Live Activities and Dynamic Island APIs to show your candle timer on your Lock Screen. This feature runs entirely on-device and does not transmit data to us.

The App supports Siri voice commands (e.g., "Hey Siri, I lit a Candle") using Apple's App Intents framework. Voice processing is handled entirely by Apple's Siri and on-device speech recognition systems, governed by Apple's own privacy practices. We do not receive or process your voice data.

If you choose to share the App with a friend using the built-in share option, the App uses Apple's standard share sheet. You control where that information goes (e.g., Messages, Mail, AirDrop); we are not involved in and do not see this activity.

The App may ask you to rate it using Apple's standard in-app rating prompt (`SKStoreReviewController`). This interaction is handled entirely by Apple; we do not receive any information about your rating or whether you were shown the prompt.

The App does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect personal information from any user.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
